As the story of Hunter and Kayla comes to an end in Forsaken, the final Academy of the Fallen novel, I find myself doing the same thing that readers often do... going through character withdrawals!  I already miss Hunter, Xavier, Ethan, and of course, my favorite stubborn character... Kayla. Forsaken was released on Kindle , Nook and Smashwords  a few days ago and paperbacks will be released on July 30th ( signed copies available for pre-order! ).  I'm loving the reviews that I got so far and I'm glad that readers are are enjoying the twists and getting closure as the series comes to the end.  As promised (and this wasn't easy)... no cliffhangers!  As much as I love cliffhangers, I would never end a series that way.  Of course, I can't promise anything with the other books. *evil grin* To celebrate the release of Forsaken, here is an awesome giveaway and thanks again to everyone who donated to the giveaway! Yesterday, I ran into this website called Blingee.com .  I don't even remember how I got there, but once I did, I couldn't leave. If you are not familiar with the website, you can use it to combine images (uploaded by you or from the website itself) and add quotes & other things to them.  Once you find your way around the website, it is pretty easy and they also have videos showing how to 'make a blingee'. I had so much fun with the website that I decided to make a contest out of it! Make a Blingee inspired by any of my book series:  Mermaid's Curse, Imprinted Souls, or Academy of the Fallen and you will be entered to win a signed copy of any of my books (paperback - winner's choice). I know that Halloween is not technically a holiday, but I still consider it one.  Not just that... Halloween is my second favorite 'holiday'.  Needless to say, I was looking forward to October and this month is turning out to be even better than I expected! The month started out with my first visit to Busch Garden's Howl-O-Scream.  It was all fine and fun while daylight was out.  I even made a few jokes by calling a werewolf Jacob.  Then it started to get dark outside and the clowns were out.  I'm good with werewolves, vampires, zombies, ghosts, but clowns... Hi everyone! This past weekend (April 20-22), I had the opportunity to attend the Blood on the Beach Convention in Virginia Beach, along with authors Michelle Johnson, Rue Elliott, and John Koehler. This convention turned out to be one of the best events I've attended so far.  The costumes were great!  It was fun chatting with new people, and of course that seeing Norman Reedus and Jeremy London was pretty awesome! Here are the highlights of the weekend: I was excited about this event from the moment I heard the words 'Lost Boys cast'.  It was fun seeing Edward Herrmann and other cast members.  It also made me think of Corey Haim.  I loved him in all of his movies!  It's still sad to think about what happened to him...
