Daniele Lanzarotta

Hi everyone! I have something fun for you today!  I'm getting ready to wrap up edits on Forsaken, the final Academy of the Fallen novel, which means that I'll be working on Fated (Mermaid's Curse 2) very soon!   So here is the contest... and the background story on this picture! Last month,  LipSmackin GoodBooks reviewed Insatiable - A Mermaid's Curse and dreamcast him as Blake.  The funny thing is that just a few days before, I added Blake getting a tattoo to the Fated outline, which made me love this picture even more. So here is the contest! Find or draw a picture of what you think would be the perfect tattoo for Blake.  To enter, you can post the picture at www.facebook.com/mermaidscurse , tweet @DaniLanzarotta, or email it to daniele.lanzarotta@gmail.com . Deadline is July 1, 2013. Winner will get to be Blake's tattoo artist in the book.  Yes, that character will be named after you (first name only). The tattoo should relat...

Yesterday, I ran into this website called Blingee.com .  I don't even remember how I got there, but once I did, I couldn't leave. If you are not familiar with the website, you can use it to combine images (uploaded by you or from the website itself) and add quotes & other things to them.  Once you find your way around the website, it is pretty easy and they also have videos showing how to 'make a blingee'. I had so much fun with the website that I decided to make a contest out of it! Make a Blingee inspired by any of my book series:  Mermaid's Curse, Imprinted Souls, or Academy of the Fallen and you will be entered to win a signed copy of any of my books (paperback - winner's choice). Blingees must be shared on any of my Facebook pages or Twitter (@ DaniLanzarotta ) to make sure I see it. I will be accepting entries until April 15th. Have fun! :)

HALLOWEEN CONTEST Vampires or Fallen Angels… who is your favorite? Personally, I couldn’t decide, which is the reason I created Imprinted Souls’ Anne. Now, it is your turn to decide (or at least try to...) If you are dressing up as a Vampire or Fallen Angel this Halloween, you can enter to win a signed copy of one of my books… Academy of the Fallen or one of the Imprinted Souls books. To enter, ‘like’ and post your picture in costume @ my new Facebook author page . Contest will be open until November 5th. Happy Halloween!

Want a character in ‘Academy of the Fallen 2: Nephilim’ named after you? - Guys and girls can enter. - It can be first name or last name. - You can pick whether you want to name one of the fallen, one of the haunted, or one of evil/creepy Benjamin’s allies. - At least 3 winners (one in each category will be chosen). - Contest will remain open until further notice. :) There are 3 ways to enter, two of them are easy! :D Tell me why a character should be named after you. To enter: If you are on Twitter – Tweet your answer @DaniLanzarotta #AcademyoftheFallenContest. Go to the bottom of this post and share the contest with your tweeps. If you are on FB – ‘Like’ the Academy of the Fallen page and post your answer on the wall #AcademyoftheFallenContest . Go to the bottom of this post and share the contest on your FB. Finding Nicholas Contest! … and previous contest winner announced! Hi guys! Well, if you have read one of the Imprinted Souls books, you know that Nicholas is a very unique character. In fact, if you don’t know him, you can get an idea by reading a character interview that Nicholas did for the Between the Covers blog . Anyway, his uniqueness makes it very difficult to find someone that could be portrayed as Nicholas. So, here is the contest: All you have to do is find someone who could be Nicholas... BUT, it has to be either from a stock photo website (such as iphotostock, fotolia, etc) or you can draw him (must be original work done by you). E-mail the picture's website link (or drawing) to daniele.lanzarotta@gmail.com . Please add "Finding Nicholas Contest" to the subject line. I will make the top 3 potential Nicholas' available for voting on the blog and Facebook on March 2nd. Entries should be submitted by March 1st! The prize? Same as the last contest! ***Winne...

Every once in a while, my husband will glance at me while I’m reading something on my Mac (aka MacGoodness), and ask why I have this big grin on my face… The answer is either something that I’m writing OR that I’m reading an email from someone who read one of my books… This past Saturday, I had one of those emails (well, FB message… same thing. Lol) Jennifer Holcomb wrote an AWESOME poem inspired by Imprinted Souls. I literally almost cried, and if you know me, you know that movies, books, … well, nothing makes me cry. The only movie that ever got close to it was ‘Marley and Me,’ and I’m a dog person! Anyway... Jennifer has actually written a few poems based on books. Earlier this week she even wrote one inspired by Bloodlust, which was awesome too. With that said… I have a contest announcement! There will be two categories… poems inspired by the Imprinted Souls series and artwork inspired by the series. Submissions can be emailed to daniele.lanzarott...
