Teaser Tuesday - The Sweetest Date - Venom

Through the window, I can see him put the blanket on the bed of the truck. He comes back around with the flashlight and leads me to the back, helping me up. I sit on the blanket and he hops up, lying down next to where I’m sitting. He sighs. “It’s funny that you asked me to bring you here.” “Why?” I ask, looking back at him. He is playing with the flashlight, now shinning it on my face and nearly blinding me. “Sorry,” he says as he puts the flashlight down on the back center of truck’s bed. “This is where I came when I ran away once.” “I’m not running away,” I say defensively. “I just needed to well—to get a way for a while.” “You can lie down,” he says. “I don’t bite.” I laugh at his comment. I lie down next to him and stare up at the stars; one of the few things that, centuries after centuries, remains unchanged. I feel his hand on mine and I close my eyes. “My first name is Sarah,” I say and I can feel a weigh...

Q&A with Gemma from the Protector Series by Tressa Messenger

Image
Today I have the pleasure to feature a new release by ones of the authors from YA at Heart Book Tour, Tressa Messenger. I want to congratulate Tressa on the release of 'Protect Us', the third novel in the Protector Series, and I hope that you enjoy my Q&A with one of Tressa's characters... Gemma!  (You know how much I love character interviews!) :) Q&A with Gemma from the Protector Series Hi Gemma! Tell us a little about yourself. How old are you? Where are you from? Gemma: I am 17, almost 18. My family is from all over but I grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina. Tell us about your father’s job. Do you like what he does? Why or why not? Gemma: My father's job is a secret but I guess I can tell you a little since it's just us girls. My father is called a Protector. He fits the... ummmm... bad guys. It's the coolest job ever; I am so joining the order when I turn 18. Would you say that your live a normal...

Imprinted Souls - The Missing Journals - Tyler: Lexi's Choice - Part II

Image
I loved writing this entry!  This one goes to all readers who enjoyed the water scene in Shattered Souls.  Although I've been told that if you love Nicholas, you might feel torn about Tyler once again. *evil grin* Here is my writing song for this one ( minus the parts about breathing and beating heart. *laughs* ) Imprinted Souls - The Missing Journals Tyler POV – Lexi’s choice – Part II It didn't take long for Loren's full attention to be on Nicholas instead of me, and I wanted things to stay that way.   There was only one person who Loren trusted, and that was Adrianne.   He confided in her, and because of that, I knew mostly everything that he had heard about Nicholas and Lexi.   Loren knew where they were all along.   His plan was to allow some time to pass before going after them.   He wanted Nicholas to feel confident that the chase was over.   He would then make his move when Nicholas least exp...

Imprinted Souls - The Missing Journals - Tyler: Lexi's Choice - Part I

Image
Hi everyone, Sorry it took so long to post this.  I've been working on Sins of the Fallen during my official writing times.  I do miss the imprinted souls characters terribly and I'm so glad I get to write these bonus chapters.  I hope you are enjoying them! Here is my writing song for this one: Imprinted Souls - The Missing Journals      Lexi’s Choice – Tyler’s POV – Part I I was at Travis’ house for what felt like an eternity.   I just sat there, staring at the box that I had given Lexi, as I waited for her text.   I wasn’t sure what she was up to, but our deal was that if this plan of hers didn’t work, I would be going after Loren.   Her text never came. Travis felt the tension in the room and claimed that he had errands to run.   Eventually, Adrianne came back to pick me up so that we could go after Loren.   I hesitated in leaving before I heard from Lexi, but I knew that the sooner we were don...

Imprinted Souls - The Missing Journals - Nicholas: Lexi's Choice

Image
Hi Everyone! Today is Imprinted Souls' bookversary, and to celebrate it, here is the first entry for the Imprinted Souls' Missing Journals.  This takes place after Blood Bound and before Shattered Souls, so there are spoilers...  Happy Reading!   Daniele The writing song: Imprinted Souls - The Missing Journals Lexi’s Choice Nicholas I was in pain, a lot of pain.  The specks of silver that Adrianne threw on me were already in my skin, and I could slowly feel the silver spreading through my blood stream.  I can’t say that fear of my being destroyed ever crossed my mind.  I lived for longer than anyone was ever intended to, but I was afraid for her.  I was afraid that with me gone, she would be left defenseless, because let’s face it, Tyler was useless, especially when it came to confronting his maker.  He would never be able to defeat Loren, which meant that he would never be able to protect Lexi.   “How lon...

Blood on the Beach 2012

Image
Hi everyone! This past weekend (April 20-22), I had the opportunity to attend the Blood on the Beach Convention in Virginia Beach, along with authors Michelle Johnson, Rue Elliott, and John Koehler. This convention turned out to be one of the best events I've attended so far.  The costumes were great!  It was fun chatting with new people, and of course that seeing Norman Reedus and Jeremy London was pretty awesome! Here are the highlights of the weekend: I was excited about this event from the moment I heard the words 'Lost Boys cast'.  It was fun seeing Edward Herrmann and other cast members.  It also made me think of Corey Haim.  I loved him in all of his movies!  It's still sad to think about what happened to him... Then I saw Norman Reedus, (best known for his roles in 'The Boondock Saints' and 'The Walking Dead') and I couldn't help but to dream cast a bit.  He would be absolutely perfect to play Harvey, my Irish vampire who yo...
